Donation Programs: Community Partnerships

Goodwill’s donation programs turn gently used items into opportunities for people in our community. Through donations, we fund job training, employment services, and life-changing programs that help individuals gain skills, find work, and build brighter futures.

RAISE FUNDS FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION!

Goodwill Industries of Lane and South Coast Counties offers community donation programs that help schools, nonprofits, and local organizations raise funds while supporting job training and employment programs.

By partnering with Goodwill, your organization can turn donated items for our stores into funding while helping provide vocational opportunities for individuals with barriers to employment.

Good Samaritan Program

The Good Samaritan Program allows community organizations and schools to partner with Goodwill to support individuals experiencing financial hardship. Through this program, participating organizations can receive vouchers for clothing and shoes that can be used in local Goodwill thrift stores.

Once your organization is registered in our system, supporters can donate items on behalf of your organization at any Goodwill store or donation center in Lane, Coos, or Curry County.

How It Works

  • Bring your donations to any participating Goodwill location.
  • Tell the donation attendant the items are being donated on behalf of your organization.
  • Donations are weighed and recorded for your organization.
  • Donation totals are submitted to Goodwill’s administration office each month.
  • For every 200 pounds of donated items, your organization will receive a $10 Goodwill voucher.
  • These vouchers can be used to purchase gently used clothing and shoes at participating Goodwill thrift stores.

Donation Drive Fundraising Program

The Goodwill Donation Drive Program is a simple and effective way for schools, teams, churches, and nonprofit organizations to raise money while supporting the community.

Goodwill will help your organization set up a donation drive and provide a trailer at your location to collect donated items. All you need to do is promote your drive, collect donations, and fill the trailer.

Accepted donations include clothing, household goods, small furniture, electronics, toys, and other items typically sold in Goodwill thrift stores.

Once the trailer is full, Goodwill will pick it up and transport the items to our warehouse to be weighed. Your organization will then receive payment based on the total weight of the donations collected.

Note: Individual donated items must weigh less than 100 pounds.

If your school, nonprofit, or community group is interested in hosting a donation drive or joining the Good Samaritan Program.
